One of the foremost Egyptian actresses of romance from the Sixties to early Eighties became a star before her 17th birthday was the epitome of beauty, charm and seductive softness. She acted in many roles and was also blessed with a beautiful voice.
Several of her screen songs became pop hits and Take Care of Zouzou (1972) packed houses for more than a year. Husni, nicknamed “the Arab Cinderella”, appeared in 83 films and was admired throughout the Arab world.
Husni was born in Cairo, and she took her own life by jumping from the balcony of the flat where she was staying in London.
