Allama Mashriqi was a genius and earned different types of degrees and broke previous academic records at Pakistanís Punjab University and Englandís Cambridge University.
In 1931 he organised the Khaksar Tehrik (Khaksar Movement) against the policies of both, Congress and Muslim League in India, and had a large following. He believed in `Pan Islamism'.
Allama Mashriqi wrote many books including his monumental work Tazkira (A commentary on the Holy Quran).
Allama Mashriqi died of cancer in Lahore where he was born in a very well respected family whose ancestors held prominent positions in the Mughal Empire.
