|Biographical detail : ||Bangladeshi physician who dedicated his research career to saving lives
In 1966, Dr Mizanur Rahman became the key physician in the Matab cholera hospital in Dhaka and participated in the 1968 trials for field use of oral re-hydration treatment. He spent his time in saving lives and teaching others to do the same.
Dr Rahman went with the international Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research team to Saudi Arabia to set up the diarrhoeal treatment wards and laboratories. He travelled to South America during the cholera epidemics in Ecuador.
