Educated in the US and studied anthropology at Harvard Tahmima Anam later completed an MA in creative writing in London.
Her first novel, A Golden Age (2007), won a Commonwealth Writers’ Prize and was shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award. Her second, The Good Muslim, was long-listed for the 2011 Man Asian Literary Prize.
Residing in London Tahmima Anam was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, into an illustrious literary family.
