Solicitor Khalid Sofi, Election Commissioner has issued a call to MCB’s affiliate network:
In January 2025, British Muslim organisations will once again get to choose the next leadership of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), the country’s most diverse and democratic Muslim umbrella body. This election is an opportunity to ensure our leadership reflects the values, needs, and aspirations of the communities we represent. The new leadership will be elected by organisations affiliated to the Muslim Council of Britain. These organisations include mosques, Islamic associations, charities and schools. 23 November is the deadline for candidates to be nominated and present their manifesto. If you would like to find out if your mosque or organisation is affiliated to the MCB, email electioncommissioner@mcb.org.uk
