An opportunity for residents in North West London to view the award winning film NAZA (Estimated Collateral Damage) now showing at the Metro cinema Harrow viewings Thursday 22 October 7.45 pm, Friday 23 October – Thursday 29 October 7 pm start

A heart-wrenching documentary on the Israel Defense Force’s software technology and ‘rules of engagement’ that have led to the Gaza genocide. The film’s parting message is that it is still continuing.

Produced with support from the Guardian, it ” features testimony from 24 Israeli military intelligence officers and soldiers involved in the surveillance and remote killing of Palestinian civilians during the war in Gaza.” The interviewees describe their role in the deliberate targeting and annihilation of civilians and destruction to prompt population displacement. It is a frightening window into the integration of mobile phone surveillance, geographical information systems, machine learning and data analysis to construct a war machine. One can imagine the Nuremberg defence of the elite Israeli Intelligence corps: “just following orders”.

For shame, one of the feeds would have been the Royal Air Force’s surveillance and intelligence flights over Gaza operating out of the UK’s Akrotiri base in Cyprus, as reported by Matt Kennard.

The directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor noted in an interview in September 2026 with +972 Magazine

We made this film for one simple reason: We understood that testimonies from officers and soldiers in the army that annihilated Gaza — those who conducted the surveillance, who calculated how many innocent people were likely to be killed in each house, and who repeatedly gave the green light to bomb entire families — would make it even harder to deny the crimes. And that denial is part of what allows these crimes to continue until today.
This is a film about a system. It focuses on orders, policies, and patterns of operation, not deviations from them. The conclusion that we draw from the testimonies is clear: The mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza was not a “tragic byproduct” of a war against Hamas, as it is commonly portrayed in Israel, but a premeditated, calculated, and intentional act. This is why a UN commission, the world’s leading human rights groups, and Palestinian, Israeli, and international scholars have described it as a genocide.
