Following the pattern set at community meetings across the United Kingdom, on 25 October 2025 the Brent and Harrow Palestine Solidarity Campaign and the Shia Ithna Ashari Community of Middlesex screened the harrowing testimonies from Gaza following Israel’s military assault on its civilian population. Many in the audience were in tears seeing and hearing Gazans pouring out their grief, giving the film viewers a glimpse of what millions have had to endure in the face of a genocidal, heartless attack. In the soundtrack were the everpresent sound of drones, ambulance sirens and jets on their bombing and surveillance runs. So many Gazans remembered Israel’s first ethnic cleansing – the Nakba of 1948. One is dumbstruck by their stoicism and endurance, child and adult.
